A guy offered me a Samsung S20 for 80usd and I took the deal. I know I've been writing about large screens. Well, now I'm like, if I can't have the aspect ratio I want I might as well get a small screen. The S20 supports DeX which is something really cool. In the future I can try and use am external display totally of my own choice. Not bad. It's also kind of a desktop replacement.

From my experience, I can say the display is better on the note 10. On paper the note 8 has the better screen but side by side the images on the note 10 were sharper and more detailed. Also the speakers on the note 10 are amazing. I was worried about the aspect ratio, but in daily use, the phone is brilliant, the processor is powerful, and even though I have a laptop and a tablet, I'm always using this phone to surf the internet. I really did love the note 8 but cracked the screen, so I got the note 10. I purchased both phones from China and they were both super cheap. I first had the Xiaomi mi max, then moved to the Huawei note 8, then got the note 10 and I'm still using it. I've just purchased the Realme Neo 5se because my screen is faulty on my note 10. The note series from Huawei / honor, have been the best phones I've ever owned, in terms of the user experience. I wish they would make a note 11, I would have purchased it without a second thought.

I need an amoled that's BIG and not some crappy aspect ratio long or square. shaped. The Note 8 is THE largest amoled phone out there for 16:9 viewing.

Not even the mighty Mate20x can show an uncropped 16:9 frame larger than the Note 8. Grr. It's also 1080p and the Note 8 1440p. Super annoying.

I wish we'll see something this size (I mean dimensions, not display size) but with specifications of S22 Ultra or even better!

Great battery life,check. Quality screen, check. Great processor, check. Cameras are okay not horrible. Dark mode features would be nice.

Just make sure that your Google Play store is somehow updated, as they had done something in the past in Google and tried to recall all Huawei brands, but these phones were licensed under purchase agreement, so they had eventually to allow them using everything. As a result, when f.e. you moved from a country to another Google messed up your location and Store was inaccessible for some users. However, you could easily uninstall it, download the original Play Store via Huawei central or even Google and that's it. You have app gallery which has everything, plus original APKs, licences etc.

I have this phone for 3,5 years. The battery still lasts approximately 2 days with a much more than medium usage. The device rolls with ease, no lag, and handles everything gracefully. OS is brilliant, no need to download Google services as they come pre-installed. The camera is exceptional with Dual pure 24MP and one 16MP, not like with these 4 x 12 = 48 phones that actually won't tell you that it's a 4 times 12MP that they have. This phone has a pure 24MP! I wanted to sell it, but it's so good and powerful that there is nothing that could even beat its massive 7" display, out there, in addition to all the above. I see myself keeping it for 3 more years...kudos to Huawei for making that possible.

Anyone know if the Honor Note 10 can be used in USA? Ibe been told its banned on all USA networks. I have this phone, absolutely love it but my carrier AT&T won't allow me to use it on their network.

Still getting security updates amazing work Huawei great services never dissaponits. After 5 years still getting updates :)

Yesterday i received new update for this device, Harmony os2 aka Android 10.This was a big surprise, a great gift for Christmas! Great OS, thanks Huawei! The phone its amazing!

I recently got an update with Harmony OS2 version.Still works flawlessly no issues at al recommend updating it.

As a workaround I found you can still install if you use the Google browser version of Google play. Just find the app and send to your phone. Alternatively just use Aptoide or Apkpure, they'll update just fine via G.play once installed...

Had Honor Note 8, Note 10 and now Im on the Huawei Mate 20x 4G (NOT the 5G) Its a very perfect replacement for theNote 8 and Note 10. Even though sadly, theres NO GOOD replacement now for the Huawei Mate 20X 4G. The 5G version is absolutely a huge downgrade though newer. Less battery power. Ridiculous

I want to do a downgrade since with EMUI 9 i cant install Nova Launcher anyone knows what cons and pros that movement can bring? i hope emui 8 has the same navigations gestures.
